Jimmy's Recovery Journey

Hello everyone, we are starting this Go Fund Me for our friend and colleague, Jimmy.

Jimmy is a vibrant, charismatic, funny man who is an absolute joy to be around. He brings so much light into this world and he loves his wife and daughters with a force that is unheard of.

As some of you are aware, he was recently admitted to the hospital and is currently in the CCU.

He was rushed to the hospital Tuesday (9th) due to trouble breathing, fever and dizziness and low blood pressure. Given his history of thyroid issues there were concerns of a Thyroid Storm. They kept him in for observation. In true Jimmy fashion he was telling the nurses how great they were at their job and thanking them for being so awesome and making deals with the doctors. With him in good spirts Eden decided to return home to the kids for the night.

Throughout the night he continued to decline and on Wednesday morning the hospital called Eden to tell her that they had intubate him because he was having so much trouble breathing and gasping for air. After testing they discovered that his heart was inflamed, and his kidneys stopped functioning. Many tests have been done and they do not believe that it was a Thyroid storm but a virus that is causing these issues. Antibiotics have been given and have helped with reducing the inflammation around the heart, but it is still weak. His kidneys have not regained function, so he will continue with dialysis 2-3 times a week for now.

The intubation was removed today (16th), this has given us great hope that he is on his way to recovery. Eden has been by his side the entire time holding his hand, talking to him and continuously praying and hoping for a speedy recovery for her husband and best friend. Thankfully her mother is here visiting from the Philippines and has been able to help with taking care of the girls.

His 3 beautiful daughters Rocca, Nacci and Lucci miss their Dad and are asking every day when they can see him and talk to him.

Jimmy has a very long road ahead of him with his recovery and we want to make sure there is no added stress due to the financial worries with being off work. All funds raised will go directly to the Marchione family to help out with bills and other expenses while Jimmy recovers.
