Hi there, my dad had a stroke just over 12 months ago and the following April he went blind because of the stroke, which of course he had to leave work. Our lifestyle has had to change so much, he can no longer drive and has drove since he was 17, my mom has had to start driving and it’s taken her just 7 months to pass her test because she had no choice because of hospital appointment etc. Of course we can claim benefits, which we are but they’re only giving us £400 a month to live on, the rent we have to pay is £370 and then we have another £100 for council tax on top of that, so that already takes us over drawn and that’s without food and essentials. We don’t know what to do. The smallest amount will help. Thankyou!
