Support For Local Artist
Donation protected
We invite you to support our local artist, Damon, a.k.a. Creative Lou. His vibrant creations have adorned our community and sparked meaningful social change. Damon's creations are a source of inspiration and a catalyst for innovation, and now it's our turn to support him.
Two months ago, Damon received a rare medical diagnosis that left him in a wheelchair. Because of this life-altering condition, he is navigating the path of rehabilitation and learning to walk again. Damon is facing unexpected medical hardship that has temporarily altered the course of his journey. Despite the challenges, he remains determined to rise and continue using his artistic gifts to tell our community's stories.
Damon is currently undergoing rigorous rehabilitation with the expectation of walking again! Until then, he faces the pressing need to make his home and studio wheelchair accessible and compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Damon and his wife, Bethany, also face the responsibility of raising their two children. Damon’s dedication to his family and passion for art remain unwavering. Despite these hurdles, he is undeterred by adversity. Damon will turn this chapter into a powerful narrative of resilience and strength.
Many of you have asked how you can help. Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign. No matter the size, every contribution will bring us closer to Damon's accessibility needs in the home and studio. We believe in the power of transforming art and its impact on our community. Today is our opportunity to make a difference in Damon's life and help him continue his artistic journey by telling our community's stories through his incredible artwork.
Let us unite as a community to uplift Damon during this challenging chapter of his life. Your generosity is not just a financial contribution; it’s a vote of confidence in the power of art, resilience, and community support. Thank you in advance for all of your prayers and well wishes. We appreciate all of your support.
