To know Sharon Reherman Bailey is to love her. Any time spent in her presence is guaranteed to bring about infectious smiles, belly laughs, and a good story. Her kindness and generosity of spirit are unmatched. She is a devoted mother, a loving friend, and has been an attentive and thoughtful caregiver to countless children here in our local community through her work.

Sharon’s health took an unexpected turn in December when Sharon underwent a massive stroke. She is currently in recovery at Carteret General Hospital. While Sharon has seen some improvements, there’s still a long road to recovery ahead of her. She is in speech therapy and working hard to regain all of the functions that were affected by the stroke so that she can return to regular life. We’re sure that she’ll be back to being the firecracker we all know and love, but in the meantime, we’re reaching out for help so that she can get there.

I am creating this fundraiser to help our family cover the medical bills that will not be covered by insurance, as well as to cover the regular cost-of-living bills that will be incurred while Sharon is unable to work as she continues her healing journey.
