My name is Jeremy Silva, On August 18th of this year, our family suddenly lost my beloved Auntie Valerie. Twelve days later on August 30th, we lost our pillar of strength, our ojitos verdes, my grandma Ruth. Grandma was placed in home hospice just two weeks ago and auntie Valerie was her caregiver 24/7. After the tragic passing of auntie Val our family came together to help care for my grandma until she passed away in her home surrounded by family. With two deaths right after another, it has been financially strapping for our family during this difficult time. This is the last thing I wanted to do but have no other option.
