Hi everyone!
I am starting this Gofundme on behalf of my friend and colleague who is going through an unthinkable time in her life. Shawn is very sick, and doctors are trying everything they can, but it doesn’t look good. Jessica is working full time, taking care of the house and dog (Hi Ivy!) and her son, who graduates college in just 14 days.

I can’t believe this picture was taken 24 hours ago. My whole life has been turned upside down. All I can do is pray and trust the doctors, nurses and medical staff to take care of him. Nine days ago I followed an ambulance from Day Kimbal to UMASS. Shawn had a silent heart attack on the nineteenth. Of course he refused to go to the hospital, he thought I was over reacting. I finally got him to go to the ER Saturday morning, and then our journey began. Yesterday he was doing better, moving from the Cardiac ICU to the Stepdown ICU. We were so hopeful. I talked to him this morning at 7:50, a half hour later I got the call I have dreaded all week. He went into cardiac arrest, another heart attack. They were able to start his heart, but the damage was done. He is in a medical induced coma right now fighting for his life. I have no idea what the future holds right now. All I know is that my kids are going though hell and the person I love is the most vulnerable he has ever been. Please say a prayer for him and my kids. They need all the strength they can get right now.
