On Tuesday, November 28th my three year old niece, Charley was admitted to the hospital. She was diagnosed with HUS. HUS is a condition that affects the blood and blood vessels. It results in the destruction of blood platelets, a low red blood cell count and can lead to kidney issues. Our Little Charely is currently in the ICU receiving dialysis to help her kidneys. She has also been receiving platelets and blood transfusions.
Charley's parents Lindsay and Chad have been by her side since she was admitted. Advocating for her and making sure she is getting everything she needs while there. In order to do this, they both have had to take time off of work.
Many people have asked how they can help and I thought this would be a good way to do so. Any money raised will be used to cover expenses occured during this time and to help with any medical bills that may not be covered.
