Amanda’s Recovery Fund

Amanda Burchell and her boyfriend Aaron were traveling back from a weekend at Penn State when they got in a 3-car fender bender due to a deer that ran in front of them on the turnpike in Lehigh Valley. The airbags went off and Amanda and Aaron got out of the car, while on the phone with 911. They turned the hazards on and walked to the front of the car. In that split second, a 4th car came from behind, destroying their car and hitting Amanda and Aaron. They are now both in the hospital. Amanda will need numerous surgeries on her broken jaw, pelvis, vertebrae, fingers, and multiple bones in her face. Her jaw will be wired shut for 4-6 weeks and she will need to relearn how to walk.
