I am Aswani Gopakumar , a PhD student at The Australian National University, Canberra , Australia.
I have started this fundraising to help flood affected areas in the state Kerala, known as the God's own country ! now submerging under water due to heavy rain and subsequent opening of 35 Dams. Its high time we help the people in distress and relief camps, there is a high demand of money for rescue, relief camps and supply of essentials including drinking water, food and clothing to people living in camps.
In the overnight flood many people had to evacuate their house and move to safer high lands. I request you all to send in some spare change for helping the affected. Please remember even 1 $ shared would make a difference in someones life.
The money being raised will be send to trusted NGO's and Chief Ministers Disaster Relief Funds(CMDRF). Everyone who helps support this flood relief fundraising will be acknowledged in email or otherwise once the funds are transferred to the needy.
