I need your help please…
Have you ever been in constant pain, yet forced to smile through it? Have you ever gotten so used to it that it becomes your new normal? Living with chronic pain is something many don’t understand, especially when it’s a condition like endometriosis. It’s a disease that isn’t spoken about enough, and it’s time we change that.

My husband Mark is running the London Marathon to raise awareness about this condition, and I thought it was time to share my own story in the hopes of not only raising awareness but also supporting the charity that’s helping us through this journey.

For over 8 years, Mark and I have tried to have a child. After years of tests, we turned to IVF. The emotional toll was intense. I injected myself multiple times a day, mixing syringes and pushing them into my belly. The waiting game to find out if it worked was always unbearable.

The first IVF failure was heartbreaking, but we kept trying. The second took a deeper toll, and Mark even said he could see parts of me fading away. The third time nearly broke me, and that’s when I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis. After surgery, the doctors did their best to remove as much of the tissue from my ovaries as possible, but it wasn’t enough. An MRI revealed that the disease had spread further.

Throughout all of this, I’ve been in and out of the hospital multiple times, seeking answers and treatment for the pain and struggles that have come with this disease. It’s been a long and difficult road.

Now, we wait. And I share this not to gain sympathy, but to show that it’s okay to have down days, to feel lost, and to admit that sometimes you don’t know how much more you can take. What keeps me going is knowing that there are people out there fighting to understand this disease and help those of us living with it.

If you can, even a small donation would make a world of difference. It will help fund research, raise awareness, and give us the support we so desperately need. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your support. Every little bit helps.
