End Of Life expenses
Donation protected
I've been staring at this blinking cursor for hours in the dark trying to find a way to type what I've been asked to share with you today and to answer the swirling questions concerning my life-long friend/soul sister, Chandra Hicks-Robertson. As some of you may know, she unexpectedly became ill on Sept. 28th and over the past 5 weeks she has been in and out of the hospital and has went through numerous tests trying to pinpoint her illness. Yesterday her Doctors informed us that she has inoperable Stage 4 liver cancer that has metastasized in this short amount of time to her lungs and lymphnods, it is extremely aggressive, and is speading through her body like wildfire. As to the type and nature we now know it is "unstoppable" and that there is no cure. In saying this, the Doctors have told us she only has a very short time left in our physical presence to navigate her life's journey.
Chandra and her children, Tori Pierce and Tanner Robertson, have collectively as a family, made the decision to forgo chemotherapy as it will not eliminate or cure the cancer and its aggressive nature...but only diminish her quality of life further.
Know that Chandra is at peace with her decision. Her dignity, grace and unwavering bravery is inspiring. The rest of us are selfishly crying a million tears and trying to piece together our shredded hearts.
It is Chandra's wish to hear from any of you who wish to contact her through FB with a PM. Phone communication is limited due to our current situation here, but is still welcomed if you have her number. If you would like to send cards, send them to her home at 814 E. Ward Street, Tahlequah, Okla. 74464.
As her friends, we are asking everyone, if possible, to make a small or large donation to help with the extensive end of life expenses we are finding out about including funeral expenses. Any support you can give to help with the need is appreciated.
Chandra has ask me to let everyone know that she has been honored to know those who have passed through her life and to tell you all she has felt privileged to love and be loved. She is hugging you all and will continue to embrace you from the other side.
