Ava Johnson was diagnosed with stage 4

medulloblastoma brain tumor in April of 2021

Since that time, she has endured two brain surgeries, 8 months of chemotherapy, and 60 radiation treatments. She recently had scans repeated and they showed her cancer has transformed into an even more rare type of cancer known as leptomeningeal carcinoma

Although she has been a patient at St. Jude up to this point, unfortunately they do not have any options at this time that will maintain her quality of life. We have found hope in an independent research group in California that has seen some very promising results in treating Ava's rare form of cancer. We are reaching out for help from our community because the cost of the research treatment is not covered by insurance or St. Jude. And to help the family with any and all expenses we can during this journey. We appreciate any help that can be provided to give Ava a miraculous chance to live her life.
