Kerries road to recovery
Donation protected
At the age of 10 months, my niece Kerrie was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease, prop ionic aced emia. Life has not been easy for her from the start. Just the fact that she has made it to 32 years old is a miracle. Eighteen months ago she learned she was pregnant. Doctors were not optimistic about Kerrie's ability to make it through child birth. The doctors tried to talk her out of it, but Kerrie would not hear of it. At the insistence of doctors she moved into Stanford for the last two months of her pregnancy. There she could be monitored by the minute. Nine months ago an angle named Rowan was born. While Kerrie continued to fight her battle from her genetic disease Rowan grew strong and happy. About one month ago Kerrie went into congestive heart failure and was sent to USC Medical center where she still resides. This is about 4 hours from her home. It was thought a heart transplant would be the solution but that can't happen without a new liver in hopes it will help her body accept a new heart and help with her genetic issues. Doctors still are not sure if this will work. This has never been done before so she will be a first. Needless to say this has put a huge strain on paying the bills. They just bought a house and without help this may become impossible to keep. Your help is greatly needed for a couple who have struggled with these health issues for some time. Would you see it in your heart to send anything to help alleviate at least some of the financial issues they are battling. Your help can make a world of difference. Thank you for your help and prayers.
