2023-24 Morris-Sussex Hockey Report

My name is Mike Gurnis, and I'm entering my 10th season (how time flies!) of covering high school hockey in the state of New Jersey. This will also be my sixth year of running my website, The Morris-Sussex Hockey Report (www.morrissussexhockey.com).

My goal was to provide the level of written coverage that these amazing athletes in this area deserve. I spend countless hours at Mennen Arena and Skylands Ice World each winter covering games in the Morris and Sussex County area. I also put together a nightly recap of all of the games in the area each night, and I rank the top five teams each week and pick the top three performances of the week (three stars of the week). I'll be doing that once again this winter and hope to even expand upon that with some new ideas.

It has always been my goal since the start for my site to be free to read for all, and that continues to be my goal. With that being said, a lot of time and effort goes into running this site. So, I'm asking folks, if able, to make a donation so I can continue to run this site. This money will go towards the cost of domain fees, site hosting fees, gas and travel to/from the rinks, and me providing my time to run this site.
