Since I was 9-hrs-old I have struggled with my health; From a diabetic coma at the age of 9 to a cardiac arrest back in September of 2013.
Over the past years I’ve had many procedures done in an attempt to improve my lifestyle and create a family with my best friend, nurse and husband, Diego.
I am very fortunate to have our families supporting and helping us through it all.
Recently, my Medicare was terminated due to reaching the limit of time a person can be in it after transplant surgery. Since then I had to undergo 2 different surgeries:
1. The removal of my kidneys and fistula
2. The allocation of my colon and pancreas and the removal of my appendix.
Both of these procedures required 1 to 2 months of recovery time plus different medications and therapies for absolute success.
My husband also had knee surgery back in January and has not been able to return to work since then due to the severity of the trauma his accident caused.
We are reaching out to our family, friends, and anyone who has a kind heart and is willing to help us get back on track before I undergo a possible 3rd surgery this year for the removal of my uterus.
As many of you know, one of our dreams as a couple is to be parents. Per medical recommendation, I should not conceive a child of my own therefore, we want to start looking into adoption once we are clear of medical inconveniences.
Thank you all for your help and support!
