Jerry’s Recovery

On March 16, 2024, Jerry Isley was involved in a brushfire accident which left him with second and third degree burns across 48% of his body (legs, back, sides, and arm). He’s currently being treated in the Burn ICU at UAB. The timeline of his stay in the hospital will be dependent on the progress the doctor’s make in surgery.

Jerry is stable and in good spirits. He continues to laugh and make jokes even through the pain he’s currently experiencing. He is committed to his recovery and trust in the Lord to lead him through every stage.

We know that Jerry would never want to ask anything from anyone. He and Kay know that the Lord is faithful in every circumstance, and their faith is shining through in the midst of this storm. As their family, we want to support them any way that we can. We felt led to open this as a space where anyone looking for a way to support Kay and Jerry could do so. With the road ahead, we want Kay’s main focus to be on the care of her husband and not on the stress of expenses. While this space is an invitation to bless them, the only true ask is for prayers.
