Help Keep a Roof Over My Head

Dear friends, I've had a run of concurrent bad circumstances recently which have me in a place where I am asking for your help.

Long story abridged: After a stretch of unemployment, I returned to work in January last year. A few months in, I was evicted from my apartment of many years for prior unpaid rent. Since then, I bounced from place to place as best I could for almost a year, moving four times. In December, my car transmission died, so no more car. In March, I had to leave where I had been staying as my friend needed his space back. Having not enough money to find a new rental, I made the drastic decision to buy an unlimited rail pass and do a mini tour. It was good short term, but unfortunately, a few gigs fell through, so I returned as broke as when I left. I returned to work but having no other place to go, spent the night at work when I had to. They ended up letting me go a few weeks ago due to this.

My response was to find what housing I could ASAP. I found a bed in a group home, humble but at least I had a roof. A week in, I realized it had a bedbug infestation and left that night. As it was not legal housing, I lost that rent. Using the last of my funds, I finally found a clean, legal, safe studio rental, in my name, just outside LA. But, I do not have any more savings to pay next month's rent, and have most things in storage, the bill for which I am late on paying for. I've been looking for work but have yet to find it.

This is a plea for assistance: so as to not lose my possessions, and to stay housed. I appreciate your attention, and humbly ask for your help in getting to my feet again.
