Sipahi सिपाही, meaning "warrior" in Urdu, is derived from Persian and means "soldier or horseman."
We are a diverse group from Bhutan, Nepal, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the UK, led by Warrior Monk Krishna Thapa, embarking on a 20-day trek to K2 Base Camp (K2BC).
Mindful of the receding glaciers caused by climate change, we aim to raise awareness and funds for READ Bhutan. This non-profit designs community programs through libraries and resource centers, and our fundraising will support their climate literacy program. This initiative helps young people understand and address climate change impacts and has the potential to expand to Nepal and India through the larger READ network.
All money raised will be matched up to £5,000.
