Hi. This is Julie Throssell (Shaynin Oakley’s Mom).

Shaynin’s long-time partner, Matt Robb, learned he had terminal cancer 16 months ago and hasn’t been able to work since. They’ve gone from a two-income family to one. Shaynin has been taking care of him, along with a full-time job (thankfully done at home), plus working miscellaneous jobs here and there.

Since Matt hasn’t been able to work, she has gone through all her savings. Family has been helping along this journey. As of now, she is unable to pay her essential monthly bills. Any money raised will be used exclusively for food, medical supplies, specialized food, rent and respite care.

Matt has now reached the end of his relentless fight. He is completely bedridden. He’s been in the hospital for the past week, and his final wish is to go home to be with Shaynin and his beloved kitties.

Shaynin will take care of him, except for an aide that comes in every three days to help bathe him (that’s all his insurance covers).
