Hello, my name is Chris Pikis, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times of my life.

My wife, Androulla is 75 years old and has been courageously battling stage 4 cancer for the last 10 years. The cancer has spread throughout her body, affecting her breasts, liver and bowel, and the doctors have informed us that nothing more can be done to treat her and that her time is limited.

Why We Need Help:

Several years ago, due to circumstances beyond our control, we lost our home. We had made financial sacrifices to help support our family, but those efforts led to us being in a vulnerable situation.

Since then, we’ve been renting and surviving on our government pension, which covers our basic living expenses and medical needs. Unfortunately, we have no savings and are unable to afford the necessary rehabilitation for her injury, or the substantial costs of a funeral.

As per our Greek Orthodox faith, my wife cannot be cremated and must be buried. The costs of burial in Sydney are astronomical, and without your support, we are unable to give her the dignified final resting place she deserves.

How the Funds Will Be Used:

Funeral expenses: The money will also be used to cover the high cost of her burial, which is in accordance with our religious traditions.
