K2 at Dragon Theatre

Greetings fellow theatregoers!

I'm excited to announce that I will be producing and acting in the play K2 by Patrick Meyers at Dragon Theatre in Redwood City as part of Dragon's 2nd Stages Series for their 2018 season. The show runs November 9th through December 2nd, and we have a lot of work to do before we begin, the first of which is to raise money for this epic production.

THE STORY: The setting is an icy ledge high up on K2, the world's second highest mountain. Two climbers, Taylor and Harold, are stranded at 27,000 feet, and Harold has suffered a broken leg in their precipitous descent. They have also lost one of their ropes, and the remaining one is neither long enough nor strong enough to serve as a sling to lower Harold to the next ledge. As their situation grows more and more desperate, they are forced to make a decision that they can no longer ignore.

THE CAMPAIGN: The goal for this GoFundMe campaign is simple. As part of the 2nd Stages mentorship, Dragon Theatre will provide us with seed money to help with the initial expenses in producing live theatre. In addition, they will cover the cost of the play's royalties, provide the venue, and pay for the routine marketing. This GoFundMe campaign will be used to complete the funding needed to produce this fantastic piece of theatre. Producing live theatre is expensive, and we need your help! As the bulk of our seed money will be spent on labor costs to pay the production crew and cast, we need to raise additional funds to cover the cost of technical elements such as the set, costumes, and props.

SPECIAL THANKS:
Everyone who contributes will be added to a section of our playbill labeled GoFundMe Donors.
