Cyndi Caughron

On New Year's day, the femur in Cyndi's right leg snapped while she was just standing in the kitchen.  She was rushed to the hospital and x-rays confirmed it was broken (and to a trained eye, also revealed cancer.)  She had surgery the next morning, having a large stainless plate and 10 pins put into her leg to hold the femur together.  The surgeon removed as much of the metastasized breast cancer that he could and filled in the hole with a "bone paste".  We figure the metastasized cancer festered in the femur bone for several months, until the bone could no longer hold her up.

The breast cancer is considered Stage IV -- mainly because of the fact it metastasized since 2012. Sadly, she can never claim to be cancer-free. It is something she will always have to live with and monitor regularly and closely.

Cyndi is fairly immobilized (for up to 12 weeks) while her leg heals, and will soon begin radiation treatment on the remaining cancer cells in the leg and physical therapy, along with hormone therapy. She is working as much as she can from home, but it's not easy.

Please help me show support for Cyndi and Rob Caughron by raising money to help offset Cyndi's medical deductibles/added costs/consults and give back to these amazing friends that have given so much to all of the people in their lives.
