Hello friends, this is K Kypers. While some of you may have met me by a different name, I've been going by "K" for the past several years since accepting myself as transgender. If we knew each other throughout high school or college you might remember my artwork often dabbled in questions of identity, and in 2017 I even made a short educational film for amaze.org called My Friend is Transgender (aka Jim's Introduction to Gender Identity).
Needless to say, my transgender identity is something I've given exhaustive consideration to and feel confident in. But my efforts to coexist with my conservative family and stark healthcare costs have prevented me from seriously entertaining the idea of pursuing HRT and other transition treatments. But I am resolved to change that.
I have struggled to think of ways to move forward on my own without asking for your help, but I find myself feeling stuck. Your donation will help me address prohibitive initial costs and maintain additional monthly medical & therapeutic expenses throughout 2021.
