Support Moroccan Earthquake Survivors
Donation protected
Many of you have now heard about Friday night's devastating earthquake in Morocco. My husband Simo's parents live in Amizmiz, Morocco. Amizmiz is a Berber village in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, very close to the epicenter of the earthquake. Thousands of people in this area lived very simple lives, but have now lost everything: family members, neighbors, homes. They have been sleeping outside in the village soccer field, afraid of aftershocks. Rescue teams have been slow to reach the village (the bridge on the main road was destroyed).
We will be sending money to Amizmiz via Simo's father, who is a retired teacher and is very connected to the local community. If you would like to contribute, any donations received will be sent via Western Union and used to support the local community immediately with needed supplies.
Thank you for your consideration!
