My name is Aleya Rose and I created this fund on behalf of my dear friends Melina Seeto & Nicholas Traugott for their sweet baby boy, Avery.

Feb, 26th 2026:

For those who aren’t aware of Avery, a sweet sweet little one was in a tragic accident on Thursday Feb 26th 2026. Our dear Avery, mama and papa (melina & nicholas), friends, a team of amazing doctors and nurses did absolutely everything they could to heal his body.

Feb, 27th 2026:

On this evening, at bedtime , we had a beautiful ceremony singing for him and anointing him with rose water and wild honey. After that, the team of doctors and nurses at UC Davis Hospital removed all the machines and tubes so Melina (momma) could have him in skin to skin on her just like when he was born, and Sweet little Avery Li passed to the other side.

Melina and Nicholas has been in full on Mamma & Papa bear mode the whole time, loving him so fiercely through this. Now begins a whole other devastating phase of course. To bear the unbearable...

There will soon be more information about practical ways we can support them. A meal train is being organized.

Melina’s parents are flying in from Australia, arriving this morning to be with her and Nicholas.

Let’s keep surrounding them with big love and prayers.

All of the funds will be allocated towards the following. We want to give Melina and Nicholas as much support so they can simply be in the unfolding process without having to worry about returning to work and such.

1. Hospital support:

hospital bills, transportation, travel, accommodations for family

2. On going healing and support:

self care, mental health care (therapy), meals, grief support, body work etc.

3. Avery's memorial service support:

printer shop for programs, event support, cremation, production etc.
