The Walker Family

Mary Rysse Walker was born on November 17, 2014. She was born with Pierre Robin Sequence, which is a collection of birth defects that include a recessed chin (that is further back than usual) and a cleft palate. Her recessed chin has caused significant breathing issues because her tongue is further back in her mouth which causes an airway obstruction. She has had breathing and feeding issues that have gradually worsened since she was born. Most recently she has been having significant breathing issues while sleeping and is no longer able to take any of her feeds by mouth. We are working towards getting all of her issues resolved.
