TODAY IS CHARITY’S BIRTHDAY. IF YOU ARE ABLE PLEASE MAKE A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY GIFT TO THIS GOFUNDME! Feel free to send your comments as to how your life has been affected by Charity’s life we’d love to hear them. I’m putting together an album for her son of the many wonderful memories people have shared about her time here with us and her involvement in their lives. I know she has touched and impacted many lives throughout her short life. She would have been 44 today.

My precious daughter, Charity, passed on to her heavenly destiny on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She fought a difficult, painful battle with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor. She was first diagnosed in early June 2019 and went through multiple treatments, including surgery, radiation and several cycles of chemotherapy. In early November, the oncologist informed us chemotherapy was no longer working. On November 27, 2021, she was readmitted for another operation. The hope was to give the new form of chemo a better chance to work. Unfortunately, she was considered too weak to undergo further treatment after that surgery.

We are grateful we could spend Christmas and New Year with her in the hospital. She entered hospice on January 17th and breathed her last breath this side of heaven on January 19, 2022 at about 1pm.

There have been so many expenses related to this ordeal and she has not been able to work since she wasThis is a link to the pictorial tribute done to honor the life of Charity Akofa Amouzou
first diagnosed. Unfortunately, there was nothing set in place: no will, no insurance to cover funeral and other related expenses, and nothing in order financially. Charity was very concerned about the well-being of her wonderful son Malak'i and wanted to make sure he would receive the counseling he needs at this time as well as be taken care of. This GoFundMe is to help cover expenses that have compounded during Charity’s illness, funeral and legal expenses, and whatever remains, after expenses are taken care of, will be put into a special account to help with  Malaki’s  education, counseling and general well-being.
