Last year, our father, Angel Galindo was diagnosed with Stage 3.A Lung Cancer and Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). Yes, two major battles. He fought his lung cancer with chemo and radiation and we are extremely thrilled to announce that he beat it. After many scans, and a few blood tests later, he has finally been cleared. Unfortunately, during his battle with lung cancer, his ILD got worse. It has gotten so bad, that he cannot take a few steps without gasping for air. He constantly needs a high amount of oxygen. For the past couple of weeks, he has been in the hospital. We finally got the news that he is now a candidate for a lung transplant. Due to his illness, our mother had to stop working to care for her husband, our dad. She owned and operated a daycare and now has to shut it down to move to Chicago for our dad's lung transplant and hopefully, a year-long recovery. Insurance does NOT cover everything. Not only will this take an emotional toll, it will take a huge financial toll. We are asking for your help in this fight.
Our dad is a member of a band called Mambo Street. He plays the percussions (Congas). When he isn't playing a gig, you would find him at home having a glass of wine while trying to be the head coach of The Golden State Warriors or the Niners. It's pretty funny. We cant wait to have him back on his couch yelling at the TV.
We thank you in advance. We love you.
From our family to yours, we are grateful and appreciate you.
