Hi, I am Chris, Jen’s sister. My beautiful sis was recently diagnosed with lung and lymphatic cancer.

Here are the details:

Initially Jen thought she was having some allergy issues and finally went to an ENT because her voice became very hoarse. He recommended the initial CT Scan which showed some masses on the lungs.

Follow up testing began with multiple blood tests, a CT scan. Next, a CT guided lung Biopsy, PET scan, MRI and finally a Bronchoscopy which eventually showed Stage IV Lung Cancer. With one large mass on the upper left lobe which is pushing on her aortic artery and her vocal cord leaving her struggling to breathe, and it has metastasized to smaller lesions on the right lobe and lymph nodes.

 

We are awaiting pathology results to determine treatment. Results on that should be in next week.

 

Jennifer has been working as a contractor for the Denver City Council and while she is getting insurance from that, it is only part time and is barely covering co-pays and deductibles let alone all the costs that are still coming along with treatments, travel and doctors bills.
