To the loyal and loving friends, clients, and neighbors of Paul Niski and his exquisite store, GOOD:
I am writing to you because our good friend needs our help! On the morning of June 24, as the devastating repercussions of Covid-19 were still sending shock waves through all small businesses in our community, GOOD suffered another massive blow. Within just a week of reopening GOOD’s doors, a fire in the downstairs basement at 98 Charles Street caused massive smoke and water damage to the shop’s office and stock room, and much of its contents. While the actual shop had less damage, once again, GOOD was forced to close its doors to its loyal clientele.
One of Paul’s most admirable traits is how freely and generously he promotes and supports fellow artists, creators and business owners (just take a look at his Instagram and the store’s website and you will see what I mean). It is now our turn to reciprocate that generosity of spirit for Paul. I hope you will join me so we can come together to support him. Paul is an integral and beloved member of our community and GOOD has been the anchor of Charles Street for over 20 years.
The money raised from this page will enable GOOD to pick up the pieces from these tragic events and provide a modest foundation for future success. This is a terribly scary time for all us, but particularly for owners of small businesses. If you can’t help with a monetary donation, please consider purchasing from shopatgood.com or sharing this post with friends and family.
With deep appreciation and gratitude,
Kate Brizius
