​Dear Community,

Hi, my name is Siobhan and I am fundraising for our friend Claire.

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits.

Our dear friend, Claire, known to all of us as the friendly, easy-going, always-up-for-a-chat mum, was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, just a few days later, Claire also received the news that she has bowel cancer. Being informed of ovarian and bowel cancer within less than a week has been understandably, extremely overwhelming for Claire.

Claire is a very well-respected and beautiful mother who loves her children dearly. She is facing this battle alone, with two young children and limited family support. To make matters even more challenging, she receives no payments from Centrelink and is struggling financially. Since her diagnosis, she has been unable to work, leaving her without an income. On top of the medical bills, she must cover rent and other living expenses, which are becoming increasingly challenging.

Her children very much love and need their mum. She is their world just as they are hers. Her love for them is driving her fight against this illness. Everyone knows Claire as the mum who's always at the school every day, ready with a smile and a helping hand. She is always a person you can count on to make sure your kids are okay, and she brings people together with her easy conversation. Her life is about enjoying every moment with her children before it passes. She has always been a beacon of kindness and support in our community, always ready to help others.

Now, it's our turn to support her. The medical expenses for her treatment will be very difficult without any financial support, and we want to help alleviate some of this burden so she can focus on fighting this disease.

Claire is typically someone who prefers to handle things on her own, uneasy about seeking help from others. However, in this moment of uncertainty, she's filled with worry about what the future holds for her children.

We are humbly asking for your donations to assist Claire and her family during this challenging time. No amount is too small, and every bit of support will make a difference. Together, we can give Claire the strength and support she needs to face this battle.
