In early August, one of our team-members, and fellow Franchisee's, Kyoung Lee, woke up to something we've all hoped would never happen to us. His Flame Broiler restuarant was ripped away in a tornado. He lost everything in this natural disaster and has been out of business since then. While we all have insurance, it never covers 100%.
I have not had the opportunity to personally meet Kyoung, but when I saw the pictures sent, it made me want to do something to help. I knew nothing I could do alone could make a difference, but prayed I would be guided to find a way. The following month, a natural disaster hit one of my locations in Jacksonville, FL. Hurricane Irma shut me down for 3 weeks and cost several thousand dollars to re-open. I saw many "gofundme" accounts and thought this was why God brought Irma my way - so I could find a way to help Kyoung!
I hope this account can bring the financial assistance needed for Kyoung to re-build and re-train and lessen some of the burden for him.
