Dear Comrade,
From beneath the rubble… I write my story!
I am Saed, a 27-year-old Palestinian from Gaza.
Never in my life did I imagine I would write my story to the world from the heart of destruction — not to share an achievement, but to tell you how we lost everything… and how we are still trying to hold on to life, despite everything we've been through.
The war is finally over.
But it hasn’t ended inside us, nor around us. Destruction is still everywhere. The wounds are still bleeding. We still live without a home, without work, without stability… just trying to begin again.
Two years have passed since a brutal war unlike anything we’ve ever seen… Two years of bombing, fear, and displacement — nights without sleep, and days without safety.
During this tragedy, my family and I lost our newly built home — a home we built with years of hard work and love, stone by stone, dream by dream.
We lost our jobs, our education, and our children lost their schools and their childhoods… those irreplaceable, fleeting moments.
Worst of all, we lost our entire neighborhood.
The street we grew up on, the walls that held our memories, every part of our life… was leveled to the ground. Not a single stone remains.
We miraculously survived, but today we are refugees without shelter, living in a temporary tent next to the ruins of our destroyed home.
We try to cling to life amidst the rubble and memories, in the shadow of grief that follows us constantly.
Despite all this pain, we have not lost hope.
We believe we can start over, rebuild a better life for our family, and restore the hope that war has destroyed.
Every day, I stand over the ruins of our home and ask myself:
Can we really begin again?
Can a life that was completely stolen be rebuilt?
Or are we doomed to live trapped in memories… without hope, without a future?
I try to convince myself there’s still a chance, that hope can be born again, and that kind hearts may help us rise from this devastation.
Nightmares have become my companion…
Every night I wake up to visions of bombings and destruction — as if the war hasn’t ended inside me yet.
My family is exhausted.
Our children are scared.
The pain has never left us.
We desperately need a new beginning — a safe life we deserve.
Now that the war has ended, it's time to rebuild… it’s time to restore hope.
Today, we have nothing.
We need food, medicine, clothing, and shelter — tents to protect us from the winter cold and the summer heat.
We are only trying to live with dignity after losing everything.
Your support today gives us more than just a roof — it gives us the ability to survive, to continue, and to live as human beings with dignity.
But I cannot do this alone.
I reach out to you, from the depths of my heart…
Help me rebuild my life and my family's life.
Help me secure warm shelter, educate our children, and provide what they need to feel human — to feel they deserve life, like everyone else.
Your donation — no matter how small — is a seed of hope blossoming in my family's heart.
It’s not just financial aid — it’s a human message that tells us we are not alone… that someone out there feels our pain, and believes we, too, have a right to life, to dignity, to hope.
Standing with us today means restoring life to a family crushed by war — a family that miraculously survived, but still bleeds… still waits for a helping hand to mend what’s broken, and to bring back some of the peace we’ve long lost.
We are not seeking luxury.
We only want a decent life we deserve, and a hand to help us rise from this deep pain.
Your support today is a new beginning after a war that destroyed everything.
From my heart, I thank everyone who has read my story, and everyone with a heart that feels the suffering of others.
I pray that no one ever experiences what we’ve been through, and that peace prevails for all.
