Kiki Needs Your Help

Hi! My name is Kiki. I am a 26 year old Mullican Cockatoo.
Before I explain why I need your help, let me tell you a little bit about myself! I love hanging out with my friends at Free Flight every day! My friends are everything. More importantly my Mom Camille. Mom has been my best friend, and roommate, ever since I was a kid! She helps me whenever I need it and even cleans my room for me! It's hard to find a mom that will still clean up after you even after you're 26! The only thing mom does that I am not a big fan of is giving me baths. Yuck! I have a slight obsession with babies and strollers, they are just so cute I always want to visit them and make them smile. I am also very social, so when my Mom takes me to BBQ's with her friends I have so much fun! I love greeting people. My favorite phrases are "Hi, hello"' "How are you", "What are you doing"' and "Kiki bird", thats me!
On the 22nd of January (2021), I started getting seizures. I have had 4 so far. As a little ol' bird like me, they are very scary. I went to the emergency room with specialist Dr. Cecile on the 24th and had to stay the night without my Mom. While I was there, I had x-ray's and blood work showing that I could have possible metal poisoning. The results of the test showed that I have an enlarged spleen, showing infection somewhere and I was put on an antibiotic and anti inflammatory medication.
After my 3rd seizure I went in on the 27th for a CT scan. After that, I was diagnosed with a mass on my brain. I am currently on anti seizure medications. After my Mom spoke with my oncologist/radiologist, they said that if I was left untreated I would possibly have a couple of months to live, but if treatment was successful it could add many more years onto my life! That means more time to spend with my Mom!
I am going in Tuesday for my second CT scan. The doctors told my Mom that this procedure has never been done on a bird and it is a very delicate surgery. It is very scary to make the decision to move forward with it, but me and Mom know that it's what I need to live my best life with her and my friends!
This is where I need your help. This procedure is very expensive, and my Mom being a single mother, makes it hard for her to pay for it all by herself. Help me so I can live my full life with my Mom, family and friends.
