You can save my friend from the war in Gaza

Hey, my name is Kauthar from the UK and it is with a heavy heart that I am fundraising for a dear friend of mine Sanad, who is in Rafah, Palestine the last ‘safe space’ in the war zone which is now being targeted with air strikes daily.

Sanad is a 22 year old Palestinian youth who still has a long and bright future ahead. He comes from a large family of 8, and he is one of 3 sons along 3 sisters. They used to be gathered in a beautiful home living and laughing together until their home was destroyed in an Israeli air strike. Perhaps the saddest thing I learnt was that Sanad, a newly wed- who was married just a month before October 7th, has a baby on the way. So his wife had been pregnant since the beginning of the genocide (update: on may 9th we received the bitter sweet news that a healthy baby girl- Hind was born in the midst of the most terrifying times as the occupation invades Rafah). 

Sanad now stays in a tent in the displaced refugee camp in Rafah, which I have been terrified to learn has now also been targeted. Food is running critically low and my worry for my friend grows daily. I discussed the possibility with him if crossing the border to Egypt and learnt that the price for this is 5,000 USD approximately 3,983 GBP per person. With 8 family members, a wife and newborn and no means of income, this task seems like a far fetched hope but this is why I decided to create this account.

انا سند من غزة ونازح انا وعائلتي الس مدينه رفح بسبب تدمير الاحتلال كامل منزلي وعايش في خيمه في رفح ومعانه كبيره بكل شي الحياه هين غاليه لا يوجد شي صحي ولا حتي شي مفيد امراض وتعب نريد الخروج من غزة وانا وعائلتي وسعر شك العبور لشخص الواحد 5000 دولار انا وعائلتي ليس في مكان امن نريد الخروج من غزة حياتنا في غزة بخطر ليس لدي بيت لنسكن فيه بعد كل هادا بيتنا قعذنا نبني فيه 10 سنين لاكن راح في ثواني محا كل ذكرياتنا وحياتنا حسبي لله ونعمل وكيل ارجوو ان تساعدوني انا وعائلتي احنا في حاجه الس مساعدتكم

Translation:

I am Sanad from Gaza, and I and my family are displaced from the city of Rafah due to the occupation’s destruction of my entire house. I live in a tent in Rafah and suffer greatly in everything. Life is very difficult and expensive. There is nothing healthy, not even anything useful. There are diseases and fatigue. We want to leave Gaza, I and my family. The price of the transit check for one person is 5000 dollars. My family and I are not in a safe place. We want to leave Gaza. Our life in Gaza is in danger. I do not have a house to live in. After all, this is our house. We have been building in it for 10 years, but in seconds it erased all our memories and our lives. My suffice is to God and he is the best disposer of affairs. Please help me and my family. We are in need of your help.

I really wish there was another way but after considerations, this may be the only way to save my friend and his family from the horrific war. This is important to me as I feel a huge sense of responsibility- given my freedom, to help my dear brother when they can only depend on us on the outside. So absolutely 100% of the money we manage to donate here, will go towards securing him and his family’s safety.
