Seeking donations to help Alex and Devin as Alex is in a Florida hospital on bedrest until their daughter Lennon is born. Funds will be used to cover medical expenses, their needs, and travel expenses for Devin to travel back and forth for work. If you are unable to help financially we ask that you send prayers for Devin, Alex, and Lennon. We love and appreciate you all.

I wanted to take a minute to share an update with you all.

Wednesday night, my water broke while vacationing in Florida. Being only 20 weeks along, this is not good news. Devin rushed me to the hospital, where we had quite a bad experience. For several hours, we were mourning the loss of our baby girl. They agreed it would be best to transfer me to a level 3 hospital. Upon arrival, we have had the most amazing doctors and nurses I have ever met. We were given so many options and routes of care to continue my pregnancy.

I was diagnosed with PPROM, which stands for Pre-term Premature Rupture of Membranes. The first night there was hardly any amniotic fluid surrounding our sweet baby girl. We are on fluids constantly to try and build up her fluid in the sac. She has been covering the tear with her head, so I have been very lucky to not be leaking as much as I would. The goal is to NOT go into labor. Lennon will not be viable outside of the womb for AT LEAST another week and a half, however we want her to cook in there as long as possible! I am on several antibiotics and other medications to attempt to prevent spontaneous labor.

Thursday evening we had a scare. I developed a fever, and baby’s heart rate jumped up to over 180. Overnight, they were able to get things under control. Her heart tones are now resting around the 150 range and I have been fever free for well over 24 hours now. Things are really looking good and we have hope.

We made it past 48 hours. That alone is a huge accomplishment. The next goal is to make it past a week without laboring. This is going to be a long road, and we will be in the hospital until she decides to make her arrival. We are so incredibly thankful for our family who dropped everything to come to Pensacola so quickly. We are blessed to have so many people in our corner praying for us. We ask that everyone keep praying, and we will do our best to keep everyone updated.

Love always, Alex and Devin
