Jessica Tang

Dear family and friends,

My name is Rachel, one of Jessica’s good friends. I am reaching out with news that our dear Jessica Tang was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  She and her family are still processing this diagnosis and would very much appreciate your prayer and care. 

To many of us, Jessica is a dear friend and sister in the Lord.  We have received much care and blessing from her and her family over the years.  She has lived in many places- Massachusetts, Texas, New York, California, North Carolina, and now Portland Oregon and touched many lives along the way. 

Jessica is also a dedicated nurse practitioner at a mother baby clinic in Portland. She takes care of  many new parents and babies and has made a huge impact at the Mother and Baby Clinic in a short amount of time. She is loved by her coworkers and her patients.

She will be starting chemotherapy on July 18th and her full treatment plan is forthcoming.  This will be a long and challenging journey ahead for her and her family (husband Spencer, son Jude, daughter Chloe).  Please pray for the daily supply of grace and for the Lord's care and working out of His purpose. 

The chemotherapy will have many side effects including hair loss, immune suppression, fatigue and nausea.  As such, Jessica will be taking time off from work as a nurse practitioner to focus on her treatment. Spencer will continue to work but has increased travel requirements for his job.  

If you feel like you would like to financially help the family, Jessica has requested donations for a wig and scalp cooling cap to help decrease hair loss.  Additional financial support would also help to offset medical expenses.
