This past year has been incredibly challenging for our family and our pets. We’ve faced a whirlwind of emergency visits for our two dogs and our cat, each requiring critical care. During this time, we also said a heartbreaking goodbye to our sweet dog Izzy, who passed away from old age. Despite the loss, we’ve been doing everything we can to care for our other pets, especially Jynx, who’s been battling a persistent health issue.

Jynx is a sweet, loving, and gentle dog who has been through so much. A few months ago, he developed an abscess on his chest. We took him to his regular vet, where they prescribed antibiotics in hopes it would heal. Unfortunately, the abscess returned quickly, and his condition worsened overnight. When his temperature spiked to a dangerous 106.8°F, we rushed him to an emergency vet. They performed a procedure to drain and flush the abscess, and for a time, Jynx seemed to be back to his happy self.

But just weeks later, the abscess returned. We sought further treatment, and the vets flushed the mass again and sent it for lab work. While the test thankfully ruled out anything cancerous, it also came back negative for any bacterial infection, leaving us without clear answers.

Now, just a month later, the abscess is back once more. The vet suspects there may be a foreign object lodged deep in Jynx’s muscle tissue that isn’t draining properly. To uncover the root of the issue, Jynx needs an MRI and potentially another operation to remove any material causing this recurring problem.

We normally don’t ask for help, but these constant vet visits have completely drained everything we had—and then some. At this point, we need your support to give Jynx the care he desperately needs.
