Our hearts are heavy as we share that on Friday, January 29, 2026, Jose, only 13 years old was tragically hit by a car while participating in a protest in Perris. The impact was severe, and he is currently in the hospital under critical care. In a single moment, Jose’s life and the lives of those who love him changed forever. As if this tragedy were not enough, Jose and his family have already been navigating an incredibly difficult year following the recent deportation of his father. We are raising funds to help cover Jose’s medical bills and related expenses, and our hope is to one day place this support directly into his hands when he recovers. Jose is a kind, resilient young boy with a gentle heart and a bright spirit.
