We're seeing these GO FUND ME pages pop up more and more often, hitting closer and closer to home. Before you know it, you're someplace you never thought you'd be... Your own family on the receiving end of needing a helping hand.

We found out right before the holidays in 2019 that dad (Jym) had a cancerous tumor on his bladder. In January 2020, he went in to have the tumor removed, but there were multiple complications. They thought they would be able to remove the tumor, possible radiation, and then he would be done with it. Once they got in there, they realized the tumor was inside the wall of his bladder and that they were only able to remove a portion of it. He then received multiple months of chemo and then finally surgery in June to have his bladder completely removed with reconstructive surgery. Amazes us the things they can do now days.

Following this surgery, we were met with some amazing news. They thought they got it all, clean margins and deemed NED. (No evidence of Disease)

Sadly, this news was short-lived. Within a year he was dxd with metastatic bladder cancer. It's been a battle keeping his weight on. He was hospitalized for malnutrition and dehydration on a couple occasions as its hard keeping it under control. The tumors are now in the illiac lymph nodes and he is undergoing immunotherapy. His kidneys aren't strong enough for another round of chemo.

With mom having health issues of her own from a battle in 2018 with pneumonia that put her on an O2 indefinitely, she needs the extra support. The family feels like it's just time for them to come home. With home necessities, medical costs piling up, hospital stays, hotel stays, gas prices skyrocketing, just to list a few... It just is NOT feasible for them to stay any longer. On top of all that, the rental they're in is being sold. They've been given until May to find a new place. Something that's next to impossible to do in this market. Especially out there in Montana.

In May, we (Mike, AJ, Daisha, Hillary and Gramma Bev) will drive out with a truck. Pack up their lives, load a UHaul and embark on the 1400 mile journey home. 4 vehicles, (their two, ours, and the uhaul) 5 able drivers, 22 hour drive.

Dad running back and forth to appointments, mustering a few hours of work on his better days just trying to make ends meet. His Montana dream just isn't attainable any longer. He absolutely loves his work & his co-workers have become family, they will be severly missed. This is going to come as a big surprise and be a huge adjustment for everyone. It's just time.

All money acquired will go towards getting them home, travel expenses, setting up new medical care for both of them, past-current and future medical bills, and to step back into a new, "old", way of life.

We as a family appreciate all the kind words, support, and prayers.
