Sybil is in need of urgent financial support!
Sybil is a single Black mother working tirelessly to support herself and her three kids. Currently, she has not been able to pay her utilities or rent, her water has been shut off, and she is struggling to get food everyday. This means, she is in the dark, has no clean drinking water, cannot charge her phone or other devices to communicate with people, has no food to eat, and cannot shower. She has tried reaching out to various assistance services with no luck or help. She has no support and is on the verge of losing her children, in addition to the police being called on her recently by neighbors due to being unable to pay utilities.
This is all taking a heavy emotional, physical, and mental toll on her and her children. It is beyond urgent and critical that we support Sybil right now and always, to ensure she is not further criminalized for being poor, to ensure that her and her children get their needs met, to ensure that she can get more than just her needs met, to ensure her safety and well-being, to support Black women and mothers today and everyday. Lets make sure she gets what she needs and more. Sybil is exhausted and supporting her by allowing her to pay her bills can offer some much needed rest.
Back Story:
After dealing with on and off homelessness last year, Sybil was able to finally secure housing and needs help paying rent in order to stay safe, housed, fed and cared for. She wants to ensure that her children can have their own success in life. She recently lost her job because of not being able to afford transportation to and from work. She has been applying to jobs and has several interviews coming up and needs help getting back and forth to it. She recently got into an accident and has medical bills to pay now due to it. In addition, she needs support feeding herself and her kids, paying water, electricity and heat bills, getting clothing and other necessities. In addition to needing to stay on top of all of her bills, she has $3,000 in utility bills, rent, and hospital bills.
Funds will go towards utilities, rent, food, transportation and other needs to enable her family and her to stay fed, housed, and safe.
Overdue Bills- $3,000
Transportation- $150/month
Rent- $400/month
Food- $150/week
Utilities- $300/month
