Hey everyone. I'm not sure where to start. This has been a difficult month, to say the least. On the morning of August 22nd, our friend Maritza received a call that would change the trajectory of her and her family's lives forever. Richard,her husband had a medical episode at work that we would come to find out was a mild stroke. He's home recovering but still not cleared to work or able to be alone for an extended period of time. The doctor thinks it will be at least 3 months before he is able to return to work Richard is exhausted most days by the smallest tasks. Maritza and Richard have been together for 23 years, and it would amazing to be able to be here for another 23 years. They both give so much to the community from volunteering at the schools to helping with church events. As his wife, it's hard for her to sit and just watch him be like this. She just needs him healthy. He needs to rest his body and can't be alone for extended periods of time. They are waiting for insurance approval for him to be seen by specialists, and it's not been an easy feat. They humbly ask for your help so she can help him get back to being himself again. Any and everything counts. I pray you find it in your hearts to help her reach her goal.
