Support Leslie's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Earlier this month I had the gift of spending the morning with Leslie while she ran a clothing swap in her front yard to help mothers in the community have clothes for their children. She has perfected the dew rag technique and I could tell she was tired, but it didn’t stop her serving others. For all of you who know Leslie, this is her norm. She is always there when someone needs help, no matter what it is. I have not known her for very long, but I know she is one of the most generous, most caring, most giving people I have ever known. If your life has been touched by hers, she has probably done something for you or you have seen her giving spirit in action. She is truly an elect lady. Now we have a chance to show her and her family our love and support.

In October of this year she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. As you can imagine, this has been a very scary time for her and her sweet family (husband, two children in elementary school and one child in college). There are many of us who know and love her and want to help, and others who might not know them personally but who are good people with generous hearts who would be willing to help a worthy family get through this very difficult time.

Currently she is going to chemo weekly and working full time. They can use the money raised to help pay medical bills and take some of the stress off so Leslie can focus on healing.
