Sadaqa Jariya for Ahmed Hemoh

AsalamuAlaikum

My name is Mustafa. Our dear brother Ahmed Hemoh from Alexandria, Va has returned to his creator. He was 26 years old. Im starting this fundraiser in hopes of establishing a Sadaqa Jariya (ongoing charity) in his name InshaAllah. I want to take the money to west Africa and build 2 wells in his name by the will of God, I already have the countries and cities where we would build them InshaAllah. One will be in Brikama, Gambia where I have connection to a community in dire need and the other in the hometown of Ahmed’s father in Sierra Leone, I have the intention of completing this mission by the end of year if God so wills. I will be handling the transfer of funds on behalf of Ahmed’s mother and giving her half of the raised amount in cash to take to Sierra Leone to build one of the water wells there InshaAllah. As for the other water well, I plan to travel to Gambia to oversee the construction and completion of the project myself by the will of God. In Islam we believe that there are two angels who are assigned as your scribes during the entirety of your life to document your good and bad deeds in books that will determine your fate when you stand before your creator. Upon death the books are usually shut but 3 conditions can keep your book of good deeds open until the final hour, and ongoing charity is one of them, the mercy of Allah is something that is difficult to comprehend, glory and praises be to Him. I always promised Ahmed that I would do this for him and vice versa had one of us died. He was a truly God fearing man who tried his best in this Dunya. May Allah have mercy on him and give patience to his family.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.
