A few years ago, our very close friend Michael was diagnosed with cancer. He was able to keep the cancer at bay for a while, but unfortunately it has recently started to spread.

Michael will be needing to start a vigorous 12 week chemotherapy regime shortly which is going to put him and his wife Sara in a difficult spot financially. We are starting this campaign to help raise funds for their expenses while he is in treatment over the next few months.

Michael is going to take time off work for his treatment and Sara’s work schedule will be limited, and since they are both freelancers, there is no option for them to have paid family leave or disability.

Michael and Sara were married close to a year ago. Michael is a gifted musician and music teacher and Sara is a photographer with a unique eye. They are both kind and generous people and we are very lucky to have them in our community. Michael is handling this well and staying positive and the prognosis for full recovery is good!
