hi i’m miles, i’m an 20 year old trans guy. i was reluctant to make this because i hate feeling like i need to ask others for help but realistically i will not be able to get the amount of money i need to transition safely myself. i am currently a full time uni student and i am struggling to find stable work despite having applied for jobs. i don’t have the support of family and they’ve made that clear several times that they do not want to have anything to do with my transition however i’m lucky enough to have a great support network of friends outside. i’d really appreciate if you are financially able to and willing to that you donate but please don’t feel like obligated. i want to be able to carry on my transition with a gender clinc as opposed to diy because that is obviously safer and get top surgery privately. I had been on the NHS GIDS waiting list for years and heard absolutely nothing however recently I found out that a letter was sent from the GIDS to my parents address saying this I had to respond if I still wanted to be seen because I was over 18 and still not seen and my mum had gotten rid of this. I have now been put on the waiting list again however this will be another 5 years at least. The cost of transitioning privately is incredibly high and I cannot deal with another 5-10 years of being on an NHS waiting list. Top surgery privately is around 8-10k now and a prescription for hormones and private endocrinology appointment is another cost. If you could even share this I would appreciate that greatly. thanks so much :))
