St Francis Hospice Blanch- for Tom O’Keeffe
We are raising money for St. Francis Hospice Blanchardstown, in our dads memory, who
sadly passed 3rd May.
Although dad never ended up going in for
respite with the virus, the hospice did so
much for us in the last 9 months of his life.
We like most people thought hospice care
was really end of life care, we soon realized it was so much more than that. We’d heard the expression “Angels on earth” but until you
come in contact with the hospice nurses and staff you won’t really understand... we are
forever grateful to them, especially nurse
Sarah and social worker Joan. They were
always a kind ear to some of our silly
questions but we were made to feel listened
to, no matter how small the question was.
In times like this, were all charities are
struggling we’d like to ask you all to help
remember Dad by donating something small, this would mean so much to us and Mam. It
was very hard not to have the usual funeral
and we know everyone wanted to be there so we feel this would help us and the charity.
Any amount would be wonderful
Thanks so much,
Mam, Gill, Linda & Rob
