In Loving Memory of Manny

Many of you know him as Manny Desmadre, I knew him as Manny, Manuel, my little brother … my heart is heavy when I say this but last night, he was taken from us too soon. You still had your whole life ahead of you. I don’t have enough words to talk about everything I would like to say or to let you know how much we’re all hurting without you. It hurts my heart thinking of how alone you were even for a few seconds. I tried to get there as soon as I could, so that you wouldn’t be alone for too long but you were already gone. I hope justice is served soon and the one who hits you gets found quickly… because I don’t know how to live without you. Out of the two of us, you were the strong one. You didn’t deserve any of this, I haven’t been able to sleep or stop crying. I keep hoping you’ll open the door saying you’re here now, or even call me to come pick you up from wherever you are… Heaven gained an angel but they don’t know how much we’re all suffering here without you… I should’ve stopped you from leaving even by 10 seconds and begged you to stay for a little bit… if you can find it in your hearts to donate a little bit to us, we would be so appreciative of it.

Muchos de ustedes lo conocen como Manny Desmadre, yo lo conozco como Manny, Manuel, mi hermanito… Mi corazón se siente muy pesado sin ti pero la noche anterior, te arrebataron de nuestras vidas muy pronto. Todavía tenías toda tu vida por delante. No tengo suficientes palabras para describir todo lo que quisiera decir ni cuánto dolor estamos pasando todos nosotros sin ti… Yo traté de llegar lo más pronto posible, para que no estuvieras solo mucho tiempo pero ya era muy tarde… Espero que la justicia encuentre pronto a la persona que te arrebató de nuestras vidas porque yo no se vivir sin ti. De los dos, tú siempre fuiste más fuerte No te merecías nada de esto y no he podido dormir ni dejar de llorar. Sigo teniendo la esperanza de verte pasar por esa puerta diciendo que ya llegaste o esperando tu llamada que ya vaya por ti desde donde tú estabas… El cielo se ganó un ángel contigo pero no saben el dolor que estamos pasando sin ti. Debí pararte aunque fueran 10 segundos y rogar que te quedaras un poquito más… si encuentran en sus corazones, donar algo, se los agradecemos
