I'm Brad Sims, and I am writing this with a heart that is completely shattered.

My sister, just 55 years old, was taken from us suddenly and tragically in a traffic accident. There were no goodbyes. No last phone call. No time to prepare our hearts for the reality that she would be gone. One moment she was part of our everyday life, and the next, she was gone forever.

The pain of losing her is indescribable. She wasn’t just my sister — she was family in the deepest sense. She was someone who mattered, someone who was loved, someone whose life left an imprint on everyone who knew her. Our family is grieving a loss that words can barely capture.

Along with the emotional devastation, we are now facing the overwhelming and unexpected cost of funeral and burial expenses. Planning a final goodbye while trying to process this kind of loss feels unbearable. No family is ever ready for this, and we were not prepared for the financial burden that comes with laying a loved one to rest.
