On December 23rd, our family’s world was shattered when my brother, Francisco S., was shot and killed. He was walking from our home to our grandparents’ house when a car drove past him, turned around, and opened fire. At just 17 years old, Francisco’s life was taken from him far too soon.

Francisco was an energetic and ambitious young man with dreams of graduating high school and building a future for himself. He was deeply passionate about art and had been developing his skills with the goal of becoming a tattoo artist one day. He had so much creativity, potential, and life ahead of him.

Above all, Francisco was a family man. He loved spending time with us—his siblings, our grandparents, his girlfriend, and her family. As the middle sibling of five, he played a special role in our family, always bringing energy, laughter, and love into our lives.
